The Octane is a high speed stable-understable distance driver. Octane falls in the general stability lineage of Switch, Amp, Inertia, and Wave, with a slow-turning profile that holds long and straight until its fade finish. The 23mm Octane is designed to be relatively less understable than its 21.5mm counterpart Wave. Average throwers should see straight flights with a bit of shallow turn, while power throwers will be able to hyzerflip for max distance and tailwind lines.

About the plastic: Fission is the same as Neutron with added Microbubble technology to make them lightweight. Neutron is an Opaque blend of premium polymers that offer extremely good durability and hand feel. Largest selection of bright colors. These have a decent amount of flex to them, but are on the stiffer side of something like an Innova Star plastic. Typically this is a plastic that is “true to flight numbers”, but it still depends on run to run.

Fission Octane

This is easily my furthest flying disc. The light weight of fission paired with the gyro make for a great combo. Get effortless distance from it.

Crushes

I love this disc. It is most understandable than expected, and does require some height to get a fully flight out of it, but man does it crush. Really big S-turn flight.
