MVP Neutron Soft Glitch

It's hard to make sense of what you're seeing when this disc flies, the brain just isn't used to seeing frisbee flight from a golf disc. But that's what this is - it's a frisbee that you can throw with reasonable power a couple hundred feet. That gives it some interesting utility on the course. You can throw little flick shots at an angle and it'll hold that angle. You can throw it up and drop it straight down on a dime from way out, as it loses speed: this disc has great distance control. You could even putt with it, especially if you come from a frisbee background.

But ultimately, what I want for most shots in disc golf is a disc golf disc. While this is neat, and blows the mind of your fellow disc golfers, once you're comfortable throwing actual discs on approaches and putts, I think that's just... better? If I really need something frisbeeish that I can throw with my wrist, I can throw a mako, except the mako is 30 grams heavier and more reliable both in adverse conditions and under torque. If I want a shaped shot, I have a hex or a buzzz or any other midrange that can hold a line except they do it more reliably from further out.

So this isn't staying in my bag, at least not reliably. I do pull it out to warm up, or with friends before the round starts. It's a cool party trick, and it flies as advertised - quite a feat. 1 7 0 0 are some wild flight numbers but they are accurate. It's a good disc, and I can see how someone would use it regularly. I'm certainly not going to dock points just because I'm not using it myself, the disc is legit, it's just not for me.

I’ve been throwing this for a bit and here is the truth. It is such a blend between disc and frisbee that if you don’t like frisbee’s at all you won’t like it. But with a fan grip and thrown like a putter you can get it to hold some pretty great hyzer lines. But it will turn over if it takes too much power. Overall it’s really fun and the fact you can throw and catch with it is a bonus. Especially for my family.
