MVP Trail Neutral Distance Driver

Welcome the latest addition to the James Conrad line, the MVP Trail! This one has been a while coming but it's been well worth the wait! The Trail is a super neutral and straight 10-speed driver!

In January 2021 James moved from Innova over to MVP Disc Sports! On his arrival, MVP announced that they would be creating a line of molds specifically developed to suit his game!

Since that time the MVP James Conrad line has resulted in 5 new molds! The MVP Trail is the 5th. The others include the Nomad, Terra, Zenith, and Detour.

The neutral flight of this disc makes it perfect for shot shaping, one of Conrad's specialties! You can read our full MVP Trail Review here.

Otherwise, this video from Flippy James is awesome!

Flight Numbers

Speed: 10

Glide: 5

Turn: -1

Fade: 1

In our opinion MVP is pretty much spot on with their flight numbers for the Trail. One thing you'll notice are the low turn and fade ratings. This is an indication of just how neutral it is!

Flight Path Chart

Here's an MVP Trail flight chart to give you a basic idea of how it's going to to fly!

As you can see there's a gentle turn and fade. If you're interested in digging deeper into how it flies you can read our Trail review.

Plastics

At the moment the Trail is only available in MVP's grippy Neutron plastic. While we only have one plastic at this point, the stamp situation is a little better. You can pick up a stock run Trail, the special edition version, or even our first-ever custom-stamped Bridge To Gnomewhere edition!

Neutron is a grippy plastic that generally comes in bright vibrant colors. It has great durability as well. You can check out all our MVP Neutron discs here.

Skill Recommendations

Beginner: While the Trail is a great disc, we don't consider it the #1 choice for a beginner distance driver. Rather start off with slower discs. When you do move up to a 10-speed, get something a little more understable.

Intermediate: The Trail is 100% one of the best new intermediate discs in 2024! Its neutral flight makes it easy to throw far and straight! If you consider yourself an intermediate disc golfer you need to be trying one of these out.

Advanced: Masters of the game prepare to get even better! The MVP Trail will open up shot shaping possibilities that you didn't know existed! The neutral flight will allow you to throw just about any shot you like, literally!
