Disc Golf Deals USA brings you the Discraft Captain’s Raptor for sale, a very overstable driver for the Discraft Team Captain, Paul Ulibarri. The CapRap, a modified, more overstable version of the Raptor, was PDGA approved at the end of 2021 and quickly became a staple in Uli’s bag along with many other disc golf pros. Because of how overstable the flight of the Captain’s Raptor is, it is not recommended for beginners.
Discraft Captain’s Raptor Review
The Captain’s Raptor is one of the most overstable discs that Discraft makes, and one of the most overstable drivers in the game. It will be a hard disc for beginners to handle as it has a strong meathook fade. When you’re faced with a shot that requires a ton of fade or a skip at the end, reach for the Captain’s Raptor. You can be sure that it will provide a reliable flight even in the windiest of conditions.

Discraft Captain’s Raptor Comparisons
The Captain’s Raptor disc was based on the design of the Raptor, but giving a more overstable flight. Even though it is among the most overstable disc golf discs out there, it still doesn’t quite compare to the Discmania Tilt. The Innova Firebird has a comparable, but still less overstable flight. Some other discs that have a similar amount of stability include the Dynamic Discs Felon and the Discmania Splice.
Rounding out our Discraft Captain’s Raptor Review is our top ratings for this disc. We love how consistent and reliable the CapRap is, having a strong fade regardless of what line or angle you put on it. Beginners will be able to use it as a get out of jail disc, whereas more advanced players will have a broader use for it.
