Axiom Pitch Neutral Putt & Approach

The Axiom Pitch is a neutral putt and approach disc. It was released in 2024 as an understable compliment to the extremely popular MVP Glitch! The Pitch itself has also been a hit amongst Gyro fans.

The Pitch is made with one specific purpose in mind, throwing dead straight! Like the Glitch this disc is an absolute laser beam, displaying similar flight characteristics to a frisbee!

With that touch of turn, this is the one you reach for when you need a straight flight with a gentle turn right to the ground! It can also be hyzer flipped for lines straighter than a U.S. President's teeth!

While this is a putter, it's not the greatest choice on the green. Its deep dish rim and super high glide are not points that players look for in a putting putter. On top of this, the Pitch has only been released in Eclipse 2.0 up to this point, which is not the grippy baseline we want when staring down the chains!

If you love the Glitch then you'll love the Axiom Pitch. If you haven't tried a Glitch then drop everything and pick one up now! Because as you know, everyone needs a Glitch. Pick up a Pitch at the same time and see which is your favorite.

Here's what MVP Disc Sports has to say about the Pitch:

Similar to its immensely popular cousin, the MVP Glitch, the Axiom Pitch is a hybrid catch disc – intended to provide a fun way to warm up, while being a uniquely glidey approach disc all on its own. Coming in with flight numbers of 1 | 7 | -0.5 | 0, the Pitch features a refined wing and slightly more rounded hand feel compared to the Glitch, making the Pitch just a bit less stable while maintaining the glide you expect from it. With cores and rims available in Green, Blue, Purple, Teal, and White color glow, get yours before the chance has eclipsed!

As a point of interest, the Pitch was released in conjunction with the 2024 solar eclipse. For this reason, it was made in Axiom's glow plastic, Eclipse 2.0!

This video from Flippy James is a great review of the Pitch! You also get to see the Glitch and Pitch side by side for good comparison.

Speed: 1

Glide: 7

Turn: -0.5

Remember this is only a speed one disc, so if you throw it with a lot of power it fly more understable than what the numbers suggest.

Plastics

Eclipse 2.0: The Pitch has to this date only been released in Total Eclipse plastic. In earlier times before 2.0, Eclipse could make a mold much more overstable. Since then MVP adjusted their blend and their glow discs are generally accurate to flight numbers, which was reflected in the release of the Pitch. You can learn more about Eclipse 2.0 here.

Skill recommendations

Beginner: The Pitch is a great disc for absolute beginners learning how to throw. It's glidey and very straight. If you come from an ultimate frisbee background you'll love this disc even more!

Intermediate: Got a 200-250 foot tunnel shot on your local course? You won't look back on picking up an Axiom Pitch! This versatile weapon will have you hitting lines you never thought possible!

Advanced: The Pitch might not be able to take your full power, but it's still invaluable for touch technical shots in the woods. You could also consider the Glitch for a touch more overstability.
