Innova Valkyrie
The Innova Valkyrie is a distance driver known for its long, smooth S-shaped flights and controllable turn. Being on the slower side for a distance driver, it is a popular choice among beginners and players with slower arm speeds, and it performs well for both backhand and forehand throws.
Innova Valkyrie Review
The Innova Valkyrie is a versatile distance driver recognized for its balanced flight and controllable turn. It features moderate high-speed turn and a dependable fade. This creates long, smooth flights with strong forward carry and a consistent finish. Its stability sits between neutral and understable, giving it both distance potential and shaping ability.
It performs well across a wide range of arm speeds. Players can rely on it for distance lines, placement shots, and a variety of unique shot shapes.
Flight Characteristics and Control
The Valkyrie begins with a stable forward push before entering a controlled high-speed turn. When thrown with enough power, it can drift to the right on a right-hand backhand throw (RHBH) before gradually transitioning into a reliable fade. This produces an S-shaped full flight.
The disc maintains a steady trajectory throughout its flight. It carries forward without excessive rise or drop, helping preserve accuracy over distance. The fade at the end of the flight is smooth and progressive, allowing the disc to finish on line rather than sharply hooking to the left on a right-hand backhand throw (RHBH).
It responds to different release angles. Hyzer releases can flip to flat and continue forward. Flat throws produce long, slightly turning flights that fade back on line, back to the center at the end of the flight. Anhyzer releases can produce controlled flex lines that gradually flatten out toward the end of the flight. This allows for a wide range of shot shapes.
Innova Valkyrie Flight Numbers
The Valkyrie presents a well-balanced flight profile defined by flight ratings 9 | 4 | -2 | 2. During the high-speed phase, the disc develops moderate turn. The amount of turn increases with higher arm speed.
As Innova Valkyrie decelerates, the disc transitions into a controlled fade. The fade is strong enough to bring the disc back toward the center but not overly aggressive. This interaction between turn and fade produces a complete S-shaped flight.
The glide contributes to extended carry and consistent long- distance flight. The Valkyrie remains stable enough to avoid completely turning over while still allowing workable movement.

Skill Level Recommendations
Beginners can generate distance more easily with the Innova Valkyrie due to its balanced profile. It helps develop smoother release angles and improved control.
Intermediate players can take advantage of its blend of turn and fade for shot shaping. It performs well on controlled distance lines, forehand hyzer flips, and a variety of other shot types that require reliable execution.
Advanced players will use the Valkyrie for precision distance lines. It is effective for tailwinds, long turnovers, and controlled S-curve drives. The disc maintains consistency even under higher power.
