MVP Nomad

The MVP Nomad is a stable putter that was co-designed with James Conrad. He currently uses it on the green. Players enjoy the glide and neutrality of this putter, which improves accuracy when putting!

The Nomad has also become popular as a driving and approach putter. It has enough stability to hold a line and not flip over, even when thrown relatively hard!

With an average depth and a comfortable feel in the hand, we expect the Nomad to remain a staple in the MVP line for some time to come.

When most people hear James Conrad Nomad, they think of the most famous shot in all of disc golf. JC's throw-in on Hole 18 at the 2021 PDGA Worlds. He threw his beat-up Nomad right into the bucket from about 250ft out!

Here's what MVP Disc Sports has to say about the Nomad:

Designed by the World Champion himself — the Nomad has everything James Conrad desires in a putter. From the depth and shoulder height, all the way down to the size of the small bead — the Nomad is James’ vision of an ideal putter. Expect a neutral flight inside the Circle, with some fade kicking in at Circle 2 — making the Nomad great at holding anhyzer or hyzer angles when need be. Off the tee, the Nomad’s straight-stable flight will let throwers of all power levels experience confident, straight lines with just enough glide to stick under the basket — not blow past it.

Plastics

Plasma: Generally the most overstable Nomad you'll find. This plastic is also durable, and has a beautiful metallic sheen to it! Learn more about it in our plastic review.

R2 Neutron: This plastic is a gummier version of Neutron, made from recycled materials. All R2 Discs are black, and MVP only uses it for their putters. You can learn more about it in our review of MVP's Neutron plastic

Electron: Generally available in 3 levels of flexibility; hard, medium, and soft, Electron is MVP's baseline plastic. It's the grippiest they have to offer, but it also beats in the quickest. You can learn more about Electron plastic here.
