MVP Discs Glitch is truly unique with very few disc manufacturers having anything close to compareable! Closely resembling a frisbee, this is one of the best discs for players just starting their disc golf journey. With the straightest flight in disc golf and a ton of glide, it's no wonder this disc has filled a slot in so many bags in the last 2 years!

MVP Glitch Review

In our MVP Discs Glitch review, we found the mold to be extremely versatile. With the straightest flight we've seen in a putter, or for that matter in any disc, the Glitch is going in the bag.

Besides the straight flight, you'll also surprising distance thanks to the massive amount of glide the MVP Glitch has to offer. The deep dish rim comparable to frisbees is the culprit of the glide rating.

You can trust the Glitch to hold any line you put it on. The neutral flight means that it will hold the angle to the ground. Throwing the Glitch on anny and hyzer will open up unique flight paths, giving you the keys to unlock any course! If you're looking to buy an MVP Glitch, see all the listings above.

MVP Glitch Flight Numbers

The MVP Glitch disc flight numbers are - 1 | 7 | 0 | 0

The low-speed rating makes it easy to control, adding consistency to your short approaches and drives. The Glitch putter has a glide rating of 7, giving it impressive distance despite a low-speed rating of 1. The neutral turn and fade are spot on, you aren't going to find a straighter disc.

Said by many to be the most overstable edition of the MVP Glitch, it's no wonder this release was big! Made with R2 recycled plastic, this release was only made in black, with a glowing overmold.

With a good amount of flex and stick, this black MVP Glitch will sit where it lands.

MVP R2 Neutron Blue Eclipse Rim Simon Lizotte Glitch - Glitsch

Simon Lizotte loves the Glitch. Some say it was the reason he joined MVP! We can't fault him for loving the Glitch and that's why MVP brought out this special edition.

Once again made in the grippy R2 recycled plastic, this is also only made in black. The difference? An overmold that glows blue, really cool! In addition, the stamp is an eyecatcher. This was a very limited release. This must be the most awesome version of the MVP R2 Glitch!

History

The glitch was PDGA-approved in June 2022.

PDGA Approved Glitch

Since then it's become the most talked about mold in disc golf! Players of all skill levels have taken to it like a disc to a tree due to the unique flight.

The Glitch has brought about new disc golf terminology thanks to its point-and-shoot accuracy: Glitch ace, and Glitch throw-in. It's still relatively young, but we can't wait to see what lies in store for it in the future. Maybe Eagle will bag one, Please?

Manufacturer - MVP

MVP's popularity has grown immensely in the last few years, and the Glitch has been a part of it. The standout feature of an MVP disc is the overmold. MVP have focused on science to improve the flight of their discs, hence the cool names for their discs! To learn more about MVP check out this page.

Here's what MVP has to say about the Glitch:

The next great experiment from MVP's R&D Lab, the Glitch is a hybrid catch disc designed to blur the lines between disc golf and a catch disc. The Glitch has the diameter of a putter and is PDGA-approved as well, making it truly the best of both worlds. With flight numbers of 1 | 7 | 0 | 0, the Glitch is the first MVP disc with 7 glide — just a flick of the wrist is all that stands between you and a game of catch on the beach or an approach to the green! Neutron Soft plastic makes the Glitch easily catchable when throwing around with a friend, but it also makes the Glitch an awesome approach or scramble disc because of its tendency to sit where it lands.

Its neutral flight path makes it a tremendous first disc to learn with — making it a great first disc for players with Ultimate frisbee backgrounds and lower power players! Available in 140g-154g, don’t let its light weight fool you, the Glitch has enough aerodynamic stability and glide to be a useful tool on the course. For anyone who loves to throw discs, either on the course or just playing catch, the Glitch makes an awesome companion for a fun time and some awesome lines. There’s a spot in every player’s bag for the Glitch!

Skill Level Recommendations

Beginners - Absolutely 100% is the Glitch one of the best discs for beginners. With a straight flight and a slow speed, this disc will be easy to control for those just starting out.

Intermediate - Yes, it's still a great choice. You'll be onto drivers by now, but the Glitch is one of the best approach discs you can throw. You'll also find it handy for straight short drives

Advanced - It'll still be great for approaches, but you may want to move on to something more overstable. Consider putting it in your bag as an awesome utility disc, and for straight shots.

Pro - It's hard to tell whether Simon bags a Glitch for its fun nature or to improve his game on the course. Either way, it's still awesome!

Pros Who Throw An MVP Glitch

At this point, Eagle, Simon, and Paul Krans are all throwing the Glitch! Perhaps this is why Glitch became so popular. Or maybe it was just so useful the pros bagged it anyway. If you'd like to find out for yourself the MVP Glitch disc is for sale above↑.

Glitch For Backhands?

Yes, the MVP Glitch is primarily intended for backhand shots. You can expect dead straight lines, and big turnovers when paired with anny. Add some hyzer and you'll get a steady gentle fade. It's a great disc to use when perfecting your backhand form. Slowing things down is the key to improvement!

Glitch For Forehands?

Although it's great to forehand in a game of frisbee with your buddies, we wouldn't use it that way often out on the course. The deep rim makes it unsuited to the forehand grip. You'll also want to look for something more overstable as a forehand approach disc.

Pros

  • Very straight
  • Slow and controllable
  • Easy to throw
  • Lots of glide for more distance

Cons

  • Very deep rim - some might find it uncomfortable, especially for forehand.

Conclusion

The Glitch is a great disc that fills a unique spot in any bag. The unique and amazingly straight flight have brought its popularity well deserved! If you'd like to add one to your bag the MVP Glitch is for sale above↑.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Glitch good in the wind?

Although the Glitch is still throwable in wind, we wouldn't consider it a wind fighter. Another consideration is that glidey discs are more prone to wind play. You might want to consider a more overstable disc for those windy rounds.

Is the Glitch good for backhand?

Yes, the Glitch is a fantastic backhand disc! It will hold hyzers and anhyzers, and a flat release will produce the straightest flight in disc golf!

Is the Glitch good for forehand?

The Glitch is not a great choice for forehand shots. The deep rim will make the release tricky. We recommend a more overstable disc for forehand approaches.

What are the Glitch's flight numbers?

The Glitch has 1 speed, 7 glide, 0 turn, and 0 fade. It's the straightest and glidiest putter on the market!
