The Glitch is one of the best new approach discs from MVP Disc Sports that is the definition of point and shoot. It is one of the glidiest, straightest discs on the market and it is extremely slow. The Eclipse R2 plastic features an Eclipse rim and a R2 core to make it great for nighttime catch rounds. With a a sweet 20 year anniversary stamp this run helps support the 2023 MVP Open presented by OTB Discs.
The next great experiment from MVP's R&D Lab, the Glitch is a hybrid catch disc designed to blur the lines between disc golf and a catch disc. The Glitch has the diameter of a putter and is PDGA approved as well, making it truly the best of both worlds. With flight numbers of 1 | 7 | 0 | 0, the Glitch is the first MVP disc with 7 glide — just a flick of the wrist is all that stands between you and a game of catch on the beach or an approach to the green! Neutron Soft plastic makes the Glitch easily catchable when throwing around with a friend, but it also makes the Glitch an awesome approach or scramble disc because of its tendency to sit where it lands.
Its neutral flight path makes it a tremendous first disc to learn with — making it a great first disc for players with Ultimate frisbee backgrounds and lower power players! Available in 140g-154g, don’t let its light weight fool you, the Glitch has enough aerodynamic stability and glide to be a useful tool on the course. About the plastic: Eclipse Rim R2 Neutron is made from Eco-Consious recycled materials and glows in the dark. Neutron is an Opaque blend of premium polymers that offer extremely good durability and hand feel. R2 only comes in black with a blue, glowing overmold. These have a decent amount of flex to them, but are on the stiffer side of something like an Innova Star plastic. Typically this is a plastic that is “true to flight numbers”, but it still depends on run to run. The Eclipse plastic is ONLY the Rim, as the rest of the plastic of the inner core is black, and does not glow.
