As if signing Jeremy Koling wasn't exciting enough. Just MVP doing MVP things I guess.🙄
The new MVP plastic teased at the end of the Big Jerm signing video looks too good to be true! Footage showed discs with what appeared to be glow-in-the-dark specs inside the plastic of the core.
If that is the case MVP could be about to hit another home run with a very unique plastic on the disc golf market.
Update: Jeremy Kolings new Team Series Tempo just dropped, and it's in the new plastic! This plastic is called Particle Glow. It's made with a Proton core, and flakes of Eclipse 2.0 glow plastic.

What Is The Core Plastic?
The plastic used for the core of these discs was very clear, putting the glow speckles on full display. I may be wrong but it seems fairly likely that the core plastic is Proton, or something similar.

Proton is a translucent and durable premium plastic. Prism Proton is a variation that incorporates shimmery flakes into the plastic, so it's clear that something like glowing flakes could be possible.
What Are Those Glowing Spots In The Core?
The question really is, what are those glowing spots? Could it be tiny pieces of MVP's Eclipse 2.0 plastic, or is it something entirely new?

Another possibility would be small flakes that react to a black light. If you watch the video carefully it does look like a UV light is being shone onto the discs. You can see a purplish reflection at times.
Potential Names For The New MVP Plastic
There's no doubt whatever this is that it's going to be a huge hit with disc golfers. To capitalize on this great potential MVP is going to want a name for this plastic that lives up to the hype, and I can't help guessing.

My guess is that the name would be space-related. Those sparkles just look too much like a galaxy to call them anything else. Here are some potential names.
- Galaxy
- Interstellar
- Cosmos
- Cosmic Proton
- Nebulae (Very similar to TSA's Nebula plastic so this is unlikely.)
- Proton Sparkle
- Proton Sparkle Glow
- Prism Proton Glow
- Constellation
- Celestial
Update: Yeah, I got it wrong. 🙁 MVP named their new plastic "Particle Glow", which is pretty awesome, and sums up the plastic quite perfectly!
Key Takeaways
There's no doubt that MVP Discs is on the move, and I'm all for it! We'll have to thank them for adding some spice to the off-season, and setting the stage for the season to come.

With Jeremy Koling moving to MVP, an incredible new mystery plastic, and a new experimental disc I'm more psyched for disc golf than I have been in months!
If you check Simon Lizotte's channel you'll see the new disc. It's a Pixel, with the rim of an Envy. There's great debate over whether it should be called the Pixy, or the Envixel!
