The Pyro is Axiom’s first overstable midrange driver. The Prism Pyro is debuting with a stock triple-foil stamp, that in combination with a Proton core and Prism rim produces a stunning dual-toned translucent disc. The Prism Proton Pyro was designed as Axiom’s first overstable Midrange with more glide than the MVP Deflector and a commanding stable finish. The Pyro has enough stability for consistent flights in strong winds and powerful throws without losing its line and turning off target.

Flight Ratings: Speed 5, Glide 4, Turn 0, Fade 2.5

About the plastic: Plasma has a great feel in the hand, with a metallic-like sheen over the top of the core plastic. It is a semi-gummy & grippy blend with a little flex. Extremely durable and sometimes has some color-shift with some colors.

My new go-to forehand mid/approach

The Pyro was a bit too beefy for me when I first started, but coming back to it a year later sure makes a difference. It has a very reliable fade, but also has an interesting profile that just works with my hand, but I can see it not being for everybody. The prism rim is also a major plus since it's so much tougher than the typical Axiom/MVP rim plastics, so I expect this will retain it's flight numbers indefinitely. Also...I mean...c'mon, it's GORGEOUS.

Stable and feels great n the hand

This has to be my favorite looking disc. Got one with metal flakes, and the proton plastic just shines brilliantly. The plastic has really good grip to it, and I can tell it’s really durable. Flight of the disc is as the numbers say, I would perhaps say that it flies a little bit fast than a 5 speed, maybe a 6, and has a slightly wider rim than other axiom/mvp 5 speeds. It feels really good in the hand though, and super reliable for backhand and a forehand throws. Def a keeper in the bag.
