It’s official, the first stock release of the highly anticipated Simon Line is here, and we couldn’t be any more excited! Not only is the Neutron Time-Lapse the first disc in the Simon Line, it’s also the first 12-speed Distance Driver released in MVP Disc Sports history. With flight numbers of 12 | 5 | -1 | 3, the Time-Lapse has the potential to be your go-to bomber or favorite flex-line smasher. Experienced players will find the Time-Lapse to be a dependable straight-to-overstable flier, with high-power players activating some flight-extending turn. While newer players will still find a ton of utility here as a versatile line-shaper or a very lofty wind fighter. With a Neutron Time-Lapse in your bag, there are truly No Limits.
The first 12-speed featuring GYRO Overmold Technology is also the first Simon Line disc - designed by Simon to feature the best of what a 12-speed can offer. There's enough glide and turn to generate some truly massive flights, but it also has the right amount of fade to make these flights predictable and controllable. When it comes to hand-feel, the 22mm rim width represents the perfect middle ground between speed and maximum comfort, while the gentle dome makes the Time-Lapse feel amazing for backhand drives and adds some glide at the same time!
High power players will find the Time-Lapse to be a controllable max-distance crusher - allowing you to create Simon Lines of your own - while low power players will love the Time-Lapse as a controlled distance driver and potentially a wind fighter as well.
Considering the wait, the first 12-speed from MVP absolutely had to be perfect. Thanks to Simon, at 12, 5, -1, 3, we truly think it is.
Flight Ratings: Speed 12, Glide 5, Turn -1, Fade 3
About the plastic: Neutron is an Opaque blend of premium polymers that offer extremely good durability and hand feel. Largest selection of bright colors. These have a decent amount of flex to them, but are on the stiffer side of something like an Innova Star plastic. Typically this is a plastic that is “true to flight numbers”, but it still depends on run to run.
Absolutely love mvp and the destroyer... This is perfect
This disc looks sharp wanna get it pretty bad
For beginners this is an absolute meat hook but if you have the arm speed this disc can create some serious lines
The first 12 speed for the MVP trilogy and while I will never understand the Hype train... I think the Gyro will make this a disc that will challenge people to relearn to throw the DD3/Destroyer mold variant. It's a solid disc and flies quite well. OOB it's workable and comes off to me as a utility driver that the MVP line up has needed for a while.
It's slight dome is something that hasn't been seen frequently in MVP discs in a while, which definitely adds a little bit of glide to the mold as well as that beef. Feels good in the hands and always flies as if it is pushing you to just give it just a little bit more on the next. However, outside of learning or having fun, this isn't a great disc for beginner players if they are looking for easy distance out of the gate into the sport. Would be a great corner working disc though. I give it a 5-star in a form of applause to the designersand employees for the craftsmanship coming from MVP lately. Interested to see what other 12 speeds will appear in the coming years.
I like Simon but let's calm down. It's a DD3.
