Slightly understable midrange, throw the Sol with speed and watch it float out gently to the right. The perfect disc for straight and anhyzer approaches. The Sol was the 2018 Ace Race disc.
Great for beginners and even for experienced players who want a precision straight shot.
Flight Ratings: Speed 4, Glide 5, Turn -3, Fade 0, Stability -0.5
About the plastic: Z Line is one of the most popular plastic blends on the market, and is of the most durable and highest performance plastics. It is translucent and comes in many bright colors. Very similar in comparison to something like Innova’s Champion, but typically a little more stiff.

Amazing disc love the plastic.
For someone playing their very first rounds, I don't think it's the perfect disc as it's not as flippy and beginner friendly as something like a dx leopard, especially when the Sol is in the 170s and in Z plastic. It is a perfect disc for someone to quickly grow into, though.
For a more advanced amateur player, it is great for sky turnovers or steep hyzer-flips to late turn shots.
If I have a clean look at the basket from 150-180' out I'm grabbing my sol. When thrown right it's literally a lazer beam that flys extremely straight. Highly recommend this disc for all level of players.
There's a reason it's such a popular disc. For how glidey it is, it's pretty comfortable in my smallish hands. For approach shots, it's a super smooth stable glidey flight. For a gap/tunnel shot, just a bit of hyzer and this thing will be a laser beam. For longer shots, it's surprisingly resistive to turning and burning, but you can still get a super smooth understable flight path.
The Sol (or any similar understable approach/slow mid discs) is an essential tool for any beginner. It can easily be thrown by a noob, and an essential learning tool to improve your game
