June 2023 Disc Golf Drops & Releases
One thing all disc golfers look forward to, whether you’re a beginner or seasoned pro, is unpacking a box full of brand new discs. This month there will be many new plastic and disc combinations coming to the market just waiting for you to take out to the course and help you shoot your new best. Dynamic Discs Lucid Glimmer/Moonshine Escape

The Escape is an ideal driver for all skill levels providing a straight flying, soft fading controllable driver for more experienced players, and a consistent driver with a stronger, reliable fade for beginners and players with slower arms. It can perform well whether you throw it backhand or forehand making it a versatile driver that will find its place in everybody’s bag.
Lucid Glimmer is a beautiful plastic that is also super durable making it a perfect match for the Escape. These discs will add some quality to your bag enabling you to reach the next level and shoot your new best.
At the same time DD is releasing an Escape in Moonshine plastic. These are glow in the dark meaning more time for disc golf in the afternoon and are still very durable.

Dynamic Discs Lucid Glimmer Evader

Speed: 7 | Glide: 4 | Turn: 0 | Fade: 2.5
The Evader is a great consistent fairway driver with a strong fade to rely on making it a reliable disc for when you need a shot to finish to the left. It is slightly more overstable than the Explorer providing an alternative for when you need just a little more fade. The Evader will be an excellent option for flex shots having the needed stability to hold the turn but still fight out and end with a slight finish to the left.
The Evader is not only a backhand disc, but is also an ideal forehand disc. It will hold straight for most of the flight before the fade kicks in providing a reliable finish. It can also perform well as an overhand disc.
Lucid Glimmer is a perfect combination of polymers to produce some of the most beautiful and durable discs in disc golf. Discs in this plastic are translucent, fairly soft & gummy and the glimmer is a color shift combined with a glimmer effect.

Westside Discs Tournament Pine

The Pine is a perfect combination of stability and control. It fills the gap in Westside’s lineup between the Bard and the Warship and is useful for all skill levels. The Pine has what you need to stay on the fairway enabling you to lower unnecessary strokes and reach the next level in your woods game.
Tournament is the next step up from Westside’s VIP plastic that takes the same durability and adds slightly more grip making it a premium plastic that is sure to last long in your bag and provide an extra confident feel for each one of your throws.

Westside Discs Moonshine Sword

The Sword is a user friendly high speed driver made by Westside Discs that is designed to slice through the air with ease and hold any line you put it on. You can use the Sword backhand or forehand as your new driver for distance and it will not let you down.
For professional players the Sword will fly straight, long and predictable. For lower speed arms, the Sword will give you that extra distance you want without losing any accuracy.

Westside Discs Moonshine Tursas

The Tursas is the most controllable midrange out of Westside’s lineup. It was designed with the everyday player in mind and has a shallower rim than most midranges making it great for those with smaller hands. Those of you just starting out will be able to achieve some accurate approach shots with the Tursas.
For more advanced players it will be a great strong turning disc that you can rely on to go right. Use the Tursas as your go to when you need control down the fairway. For players with lower arm speeds it will fly straight for most of the flight giving you something to guide you down a tight tunnel without the worry of going too far off the fairway.

Latitude 64 Opto Fuse Smiley Jonathan Edition

The Fuse is an understable midrange with a predictable turn. It was co-designed by one of Latitude 64’s pros, Jesper Jundmark. It is an excellent disc for any skill level and has a spot in everybody's bag.
The Fuse has a strong, reliable turn that you can always count on to fly hard to the right. It will hold an anhyzer release for the whole flight, and when thrown with a lot of hyzer will flip up and still turn. Professionals will find this to be a great controllable midrange and it is also an excellent midrange for beginners to start on, with the understability making it easier for you to control and providing a very straight flyer.

Westside Discs BT MegaSoft Harp

The Harp is an overstable approach disc perfect for short upshots both forehand and backhand. It is a great disc for shorter upshots, longer approaches and for accuracy off the tee. The stability of the Harp provides a strong finish that you can always rely on. No matter how fast you throw it, or how much of a headwind there is, it will never turn over.
It is a very popular forehand approach disc used by many intermediate players and some top pro’s such as Ricky Wysocki. You can release the Harp on an anhyzer and trust it to pull out and have a reliable fade, or throw it flat to achieve a strong fading shot to get you far towards the left and close to the basket.
The BT MegaSoft plastic is a base plastic from Westside that is not too durable but has excellent grip and is pretty flexible, allowing it to not skip far from where it lands.

Dynamic Discs Fluid Maverick

The Maverick has a smaller rim offering a controllable fairway speed, and straighter flight for slower arms with trustworthy anhyzers and slow turns for experienced players. It is the ideal fairway driver for in the woods being excellent at navigating low ceilings and tunnel shots.
The Maverick is the driver for everybody having versatility and a workable speed making it good no matter what your experience level is. It will have a good, controllable flip up and turn, but always have the slight fade to end off the flight.
Fluid is an ultra flexible and grippy plastic designed to enhance performance during winter.

Dynamic Discs Fluid/Classic Soft Moonshine Judge

The Judge is one of the most popular putters in the sport of disc golf and is one that many beginners first start on. It is a very consistent putter with a large bead and has a great feel in the hand. It works extremely well from inside the circle, but can also be used for upshots and for a more controlled drive off the tee that doesn’t need as much distance.
Many players love the Judge and if you’re looking to lower strokes on the green, and don’t mind the feel of a bead, it may just be what you need to improve your putting consistency.
Dynamic Discs is releasing this in two plastics at the same time. Fluid, which is an ultra flexible and grippy plastic, and Classic Soft Moonshine, which was designed to feel good in your hand, having a great grip, and glow in the dark, meaning you can practice your putting even after the sun has gone down.

Latitude 64 Jake Hebenheimer Opto Moonshine Anchor

This year Jake Hebenheimer chose the Anchor as his Team Series. The Anchor is an overstable midrange with a slight dome and big bead. It is a reliable midrange for headwinds, and the stability will allow you to achieve accuracy and stay in the fairway. It also makes a great midrange for forehand making it a versatile disc that everybody can use.
Moonshine is the same durable plastic as Opto with a touch more overstability. These discs glow in the dark so you can keep the round going even after the sun goes down.

Dynamic Discs Classic Blend Moonshine Justice

Speed: 5 | Glide: 1 | Turn: 0.5 | Fade: 4
Need a disc to help you throw consistently in strong winds? Look no further than the Justice. It has so much stability that there is no chance of it turning over. It is the ideal disc for short approaches that need an accurate shot, and for tight fairways that turn sharply to either side.
You can use the Justice forehand or backhand on an anhyzer and it will pull out and end in a strong fade. Release it flat for a flight that finishes strongly to the left. The Justice has a great feel in the hand and combined with the predictable flight, means that you can have confidence with every shot and achieve greater results.
Classic Blend Moonshine is a great combination of Classic and Classic Soft. It is slightly flexible, has a good feel for putting and glows in the dark.
