Key Takeaways
As you can see it's already quite a list and we're only halfway through 2024! This is only about a quarter of the PDGA-approved discs in 2024 as well! There are plenty more from lesser-known manufacturers!
It's quite interesting to take a look at which brands were releasing the most new discs.
- Clash Discs - 8
- Lone Star Discs - 4
- Discraft - 4
- Kastaplast - 3
- Discmania - 3
- Dynamic Discs - 2
- Innova - 2
- DGA - 2
- Infinite Discs - 2
- Gateway Disc Sports - 2
- Westside Discs - 1
- Trash Panda - 1
As you can see Clash Discs are releasing far more new molds, although this is due to them rereleasing their old molds in their new Tone plastic.
It's also interesting to see which types of discs were focused on.
- Putters - 11
- Mids - 9
- Fairways - 8
- Drivers - 8
It seems that manufacturers are trying to bring out more slower-speed discs to meet market demand.
We believe these slower discs are not aimed just at beginners, but also at experienced players who have learned to drive off the tee with Putters and Mids and rely less and less on distance drivers.
